Fun with omconfig and omreport

These programs allow reporting and controlling many hardware functions of newer Dell hardware.

Install the srvadmin-all rpm to get them.

Some Reports

Here's some reports to try:

omreport chassis
omreport chassis biossetup
omreport chassis remoteaccess
omreport chassis memory
omreport system summary
omreport system recovery
omreport system version

Bob has made a nice script to summarize the state of the storage. It gives information on the enclosures, vdisks, controllers, and how they relate to each other. It is very useful when you need to know which vdisk is which partition, or which shelf it is on.
