Installing Google Chrome on SL7 for use with VMWare

Create the google-chrome repo on umt3int05

yum install google-chrome-stable
Install Adobe Flash player for Linux
- rpm -ivh http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm
- rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux
- yum install flash-plugin alsa-plugins-pulseaudio libcurl

Browse to https://umvmgt.physics.lsa.umich.edu:9443, log in, go to the summary tab of any VM, and click
- Download VMRC
- Install the downloaded plugin, eg
  - chmod 775 /tmp/VMware-Remote-Console-10.0.2-7096020.x86_64.bundle
  - /tmp/VMware-Remote-Console-10.0.2-7096020.x86_64.bundle

Any console can now be opened with the "Open with VMRC" link in the summary tab under the console icon
