Power Measurements
Dell 2015 R620
- 2 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 v2 @ 2.50GHz (10 cores per CPU, HT enabled, 40 total cores addressable)
- 256GB RAM
- 2 x 1TB ST91000640SS
These are all at 115V.
While under load from 3 running HS06 jobs:
R16-PR at 192.168.1.55 6.9/5.4/6.1
R16-PL at 192.168.1.56 6.0/7.0/5.9
When the runs completed, the idle rack current draw was:
R16-PR 6.2/4.6/5.4
R16-PL 5.4/6.2/5.2
Delta R 0.7/0.8/0.7
Delta L 0.6/0.8/0.7
So, 0.7A per phase per machine, or 1.4A increased draw for the machine when running. Turning all of the machines on resulted in about 4.5A/phase total current draw, so for 18 machines, 27A, or 1.5A/machine total idle draw.
If you use a Y at MSU, you'll draw about 3A per outlet with the machines running full out.
At UM, expect 4.5 A increase per phase then under full load for 18 R620, so all phases should be running close to 11A.

Measurements performed by B.Ball, 10/25/2007 in LSA on Rack 5-1 with 4 machines plugged into S11-S14 of 5-1R. Unloaded
value taken from all 4 machines (5.3A/4). Loaded value based upon incremental current increase (1.8/2) with 2 of these machines fully
loaded.
